if the white drop is showing up, you got it right. I'm pretty sure you only get the option to use white ink if you use a clear profile, then under ink mode, change it to something with white in it.

just worked on one of these with a similar issue, the vacuum filters were absolutely blocked with crud. Took them out, cleaned them up with a shop vac and it held down way better after.

there is an option in the menu for a cleaning interval, it should be set to disabled. the machine does not need to clean mid-print, especially on short runs.

pretty sure it's proprietary, if it's one using the controller card. the newer ones print with HPGL2 and postscript, and have drivers that work through a network. such a thing may exist for an older one?

you're on the cusp version of versaworks, the milestone it needs to update to before coming up to the latest versions. it's up to 5.3 or so now, not that it will solve your issues, but it can. Alternatively, try updating the printers firmware if you haven't done so, sometimes those versaworks...

the color chart prints on the default queue a settings, maybe it's defaulted to a profile it doesn't like? i've only ever done it on the default roland medias.

looks mostly cyan, and running only in one direction, is it printing bi-directional? does it go away if printing uni-directional? how does a nozzle check look? (test print button on the printer) it's hard to tell if it's head alignment, or encoder strip causing the non-overspray edge to be fuzzy...

Gyuh, center of that magenta head is a huge wave, also a decent amount of missing nozzles. thats overspray on the print, too small to be static, more likely deflection from the print head (see the wave). If that's an old head, not much to do about it.

did you just replace the one long cable? it could be the light magenta, which would be on another cable. Print carriage board is a viable option, and the next cheapest to the long cables.
