  1. White Ink not printing on BN-20

if the white drop is showing up, you got it right. I'm pretty sure you only get the option to use white ink if you use a clear profile, then under ink mode, change it to something with white in it.
  2. Need Floor Graphic Material Suggestion - Carpet & Concrete (sidewalk?)

alumigraphics has a printable aluminum film made to stick to brick and concrete, available as smooth or textured. I ran some through a Roland printer at an open house, and it has survived 2 years through canadian prairie winters on a sidewalk.
  3. Contour Cutting on Sp / VP and Roland Cutters

EPS margin is another possibilty. if you are exporting selection only, the bounding box can overlap the contour cut, cancelling it out. EPS margin is in the queue settings, under file format. just change it to 0.1 inch, and add the job again
  4. HP L26500 Headstrike

just worked on one of these with a similar issue, the vacuum filters were absolutely blocked with crud. Took them out, cleaned them up with a shop vac and it held down way better after.
  5. Error 110 AND Temperature Too High error.

adding to Vander, if this is a multi-head machine, all the heads have a thermistor, but only one is being used, usually on the black head (cyan on a pro 3 i think). so technically, if only the thermistor is at fault, swapping that head for it's neighbor is a potential work around. it's probably...
  6. VersaWorks and Virtual Machines

i cant see why not, outside of making the networking more difficult. It runs on parallels on a mac, that's more or less a VM.
  7. My printer has issues with printing decals that are above 4" or bigger

there is an option in the menu for a cleaning interval, it should be set to disabled. the machine does not need to clean mid-print, especially on short runs.
  8. Oce tds100

pretty sure it's proprietary, if it's one using the controller card. the newer ones print with HPGL2 and postscript, and have drivers that work through a network. such a thing may exist for an older one?
  9. Trouble connecting VP540

first up, versaworks licences are tied with the printer, you can get a copy of versaworks from wherever, borrowed or downloaded, it activates as long as a roland printer is connected. Flexi happily drives printers, as long as the version supports that printer. If you see it in the drop down...
  10. Dropout gets worse after cleaning

during a powerful clean if everything is working right it should be spurting ink into the waste bottle like a cow being milked. pumps tend not to break, but the lines going into them, or into the waste bottle can get clogged or pinched shut. With these heads, when they have all the nozzles...
  11. help how i find the IP address on SC545 ex THANK YOU

http://seh-intercon-nettool.software.informer.com/1.8/ that guy, install it, it'll find the printer. you can change the address with it as well
  12. BN-20 to sp-300i or GS-24

i'd go for the SP-300. The BN-20 is obscenely slow in comparison, both printing and cutting. Gs-24 is a good little plotter, and works fairly easily printing and cutting across multiple machines in versaworks. Though lots of people have tracking issues with longer jobs on them. perf-cut will...
  13. Help with VersaCAMM Cancelling Job

you're on the cusp version of versaworks, the milestone it needs to update to before coming up to the latest versions. it's up to 5.3 or so now, not that it will solve your issues, but it can. Alternatively, try updating the printers firmware if you haven't done so, sometimes those versaworks...
  14. "Print Roland Color System Library" greyed out

the color chart prints on the default queue a settings, maybe it's defaulted to a profile it doesn't like? i've only ever done it on the default roland medias.
  15. Roland 545EX offsetting problem

next up, print carriage board. Last i remember they aren't terribly expensive. Head is a possibility, as is head driver board.
  16. Over spray look in my prints

heads could use an alignment, especially group a, but that wouldn't cause that much overspray.
  17. Over spray look in my prints

looks mostly cyan, and running only in one direction, is it printing bi-directional? does it go away if printing uni-directional? how does a nozzle check look? (test print button on the printer) it's hard to tell if it's head alignment, or encoder strip causing the non-overspray edge to be fuzzy...
  18. Apps for graphic design androids

Nvidia shield tablet has some proprietary drawing and painting apps using its stylus, but they might work outside that environment. Dabbler is one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nvidia.watercolor&hl=en Layerpaint is another...
  19. Roland Vp540I Streaking

Gyuh, center of that magenta head is a huge wave, also a decent amount of missing nozzles. thats overspray on the print, too small to be static, more likely deflection from the print head (see the wave). If that's an old head, not much to do about it.
  20. Roland 545EX offsetting problem

did you just replace the one long cable? it could be the light magenta, which would be on another cable. Print carriage board is a viable option, and the next cheapest to the long cables.
