These machines do make high pitched noise if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. I developed tinnitus in the last 2 years and definitely notice it more.
Call your supplier and ask what they recommend for the job. There are many types of translucent just like regular vinyl. Pretty much every major brand has translucent options.
Back in my sign shop days my boss took a job from a guy who wanted a life sized pinup print of his girlfriend on his motorcycle. For reasons I'm sure you can infer, it was printed after hours. :D
As far as cables go, as long as the pin count and pitch are the same, they should work. You don't usually have to worry about too many pins as it just won't fit but too few can cause issues with leads lining up and short things out. So I would just check the cables against the connector on the...
We used to sell a lot of vinyl before transitioning to a printer tech company. I definitely lost count of how many times I had rolled out a roll sometimes and gave people extra by accident.
One looks like it came directly from 3m and the other looks like it came from FDC, a 3m converter. Are the backers different? The one on the right looks thicker.
That does seem like a lot of ink for a week but I am more experienced with Mutoh and Mimaki printers so I'm not sure if Roland just uses more. They all use the same technology but in different ways. Just keep in mind that every time you hear the pump running doesn't mean it's cleaning. Most of...
I feel like I should have a million of those but I looked and I don't. If you don't end up finding one, I should be able to get you a new one, although I'm sure it's overpriced. Good luck!
This is a weird one because you should get encoder errors or a motor overcurrent. As Dasdesignguy mentioned, it does seem like it doesn't know it's in position to start cutting but in that case it should throw error 509 which is a head position error related to the encoder. Usually when...
It is a known problem with Mutohs after the ink formula change. Newer Mutohs fix the problem but legacy ones do have clogging issues. The Roland VS series shouldn't have as many issues. You might do it once a month to prevent clogging if at all. Similarly, the Mimaki machines have an on board...
They used to categorize the inks by flexibility and you're basically correct on the breakdown. In general the lower the number, the more rigid it is but that isn't a hard and fast rule with all Mimaki UV inks anymore. I can tell you as a dealer who installs these machines, 99% of people are...
Try bringing their original file directly into production manager without opening first in designer. Production manager doesn't care about font permissions.
I guess you can't rule out electrical issues. I'm sure there are some components that can fry that will cause issues like this but the error is directly related to firmware so it's still worth a shot to try updating the FW anyway. Sometimes you get lucky.
Yeah that error means the firmware is having issues. Try updating first but it might be another main board. And yes, it is very rare so not sure why it's happened to you twice. It wouldn't be electrical. It's more like the firmware is getting corrupted somehow.
