  1. SC 545 User Question-Ink Order

Hi Melissam2505, Just make sure the printer is turned completely off and is unplugged. Couple of tips: - When unplugging the dampers, be sure to pull them straight up. Do not wiggle or tilt them... you will risk cracking the nipples that the dampers attach to. - Also, be careful with flat...
  2. Roland Youtube Support

Roland is now posting videos on YouTube for assistance. These may be helpful to you Roland Owners. http://www.youtube.com/user/rolanddgasupport
  3. Roland XC-540 Cyan Head Malfunction

If you are losing ink on one side it is usually a bleed back issue. The cap top generally effects both sides of the head. Look into the damper as suggested by CyberSupply. The nipple that the damper plugs into on top of the print head may have a crack in it too. It's a closed system so...
  4. Roland XC-540 Cutter Not Reading Registration

Are you having the same issue with Print and cut with the same file? This may narrow down the issue to either the registration mark error or file error. What direction is it off? Scan or feed?
  5. Clearcolor Inks

Don't know anything about this brand. I do know that Bordeaux Ink is plug and play and is a very good price. They may be comparable. My only concern with 3rd party ink is how chemically hot they are... some of them eat the seals and lines and you end up with issues.
  6. Roland heads- how many shot are they good for?

The shot count has to be manually reset by a tech or someone who knows how to do it. My guess is these heads have been replaced but the shot count wasn't reset. Of course you never know. It's very common for do-it-yourselfers and even techs to forget to reset the shot count.
  7. So this isn't good....

You should be able to get the part separate.
  8. Window Perf Problem

I agree with Mike F. Looks like the lam and Perf are separating. Oracal 290 is good stuff... not sure about that print media though.
  9. Help fj52 converted to solvent

Hi Jonnyc, The link Robert M provide may be your best choice... especially since they offer heaters that will fit your printer. However.... I must say that I cringe whenever I see an fj52 inked up with solvent based inks. My first worry would be profiles. The profiles you would have are for...
  10. Where to look for pre-owned Roland XC-540's?

We have one for sale. http://pcss.bz/used.htm
  11. Mutoh Falcon Outdoor printing horrible

I don't know the machine, but it seems to me that a manual clean is in order. Should be something in the menu that says "Normal" clean or "Power" clean... I would do a normal clean and see if that primes the heads. That might solve your drop-out issue and clean the heads at the same time...
  12. Do i need to update my Roland Color Profiles for Versaworks?

VW Updater It looks like you may have Versaworks set to "ALL available updates" in the Update Options section of your Versaworks Online Updater preferences window. You to prevent this you might want to select "Only for the current model in use." Cheers Sean
  13. Ford GT40 matte white wrap

    Super Job! :cool1:
  14. new UV flatbed

Ouch Hey Gino, I'm sorry if you feel that I have said something controversial here. I really was just trying to show other options. As you can see for what I said, if there is a specific reason, like you seem to have, then a flatbed is the option. However, most sign shops, and I deal with...
  15. new UV flatbed

Have you considered a roll to roll printer and an applicator instead of a flatbed? The cost for the combination is usually less than a flatbed and the print life is longer for outdoor signage. Here is an expensive combination: Roland XC-540 roll to roll printer: $31,495.00. A RollsRoller...
  16. XC-540... Time for a new head??

What you're looking at is two passes. The number of deflected nozzles is actually half of what you are seeing. I would first put the printer into it's weekly clean. While the print heads are parked at the left grab a clean swab and soak it good with cleaning solvent then press it up against the...
  17. Not drawing ink

I have seen this a number of times and have looked at all of the above mentioned ideas... each having been the culprit at some point in time. On other occasions it turned out to be a faulty o-ring at one of two places: Remove the main back cover to expose the entire length of your ink lines...
  18. XC 540 printing lines?

You're absolutely right and have proven it by printing on other material and seeing different results. When I see this kind of issue... my first question is "what type of material are you printing on?" then "Does it do it on other mater?" A lot of the times they discover its cheap material.
  19. Hello from NW Louisiana!

Hello! Once your printer has reached certain number of wipe counts it will annoy you with this message. The fix is easy :) Turn off the sub power then start it up in the "clean mode" by pressing and holding the clean button then power on the printer. The screen will display MAINTENANCE and...
  20. SP300 Versa camm

Hi Michael, Assuming your Bi-Directional alignments are good: Do your normal weekly clean. While the heads are parked at the left take a clean swab and soak it with cleaning fluid then "pat" the surface of the head. Do not scrub back and forth. This will force a bit of fluid into the nozzles...
