You could shorten the bullet list to three or four words and accomplish the same thing. Try to vary the weights of your striping elements instead of keeping uniform. Maybe start thinner and finish thicker. Or make it thick enough to run some of your copy through the middle of it.

Check out Rich Dombey's site - richdesignsinc.com and Bert Quimby's FB page. Also linesandlettersdesigns.com.
You also pointed out Karen's site from Cranberry. I did her site (along with RIch's adn Lines n Letters) about 10 years ago.
Also old signcrafts late 80s to 90s.
That style...
This is actually an interesting point. One of my clients does have a phone number on the wraps we designed for them - a unique phone number that identifies the call as having originated from his truck (its the only place that phone number is ever used). So every call on that line they know is...
Looks sweet. My mission over the next few months is to start lettering again. Just for fun. Its been about 15 years. Wonder if my quills that have been soaking in 10w-40 are still good.
Totally. I've found also that quality inbound link sources is huge. Been blessed to have had a lot of our content, interviews, and articles published on top-tier outlets, which link back to us. Super-important.
We redesigned our old site and launched the new one in January (after like 1200 man hours, no less). Our old site ranked very well. Just make sure you have all redirects in place for any old indexed pages. We had a couple hundred pages that needed to be redirected. It took a little while for...
I used to do a bunch of work back in the old days with Fireworks and Dreamweaver. Now its way too hard for someone like me to keep up without being engaged in it on a daily basis. I have 3 full time developers and we're nearly booked out until August. Its just very hard to know everything there...
We use WordPress to run our backend, which our developers code into the back end, but all our design work and then integration is custom. We don't use templates ever.
I'm speaking at this event - doing a seminar on wrap design. They are also having a showing the Sign Painter Movie Thursday night which I'm excited to see.
Thanks guys! Yeh its definitely still pretty cool. We've been on the cover of SignCraft Magazine 7 times since 1996 - and that's always a thrill. But this is really cool since it's our first time - and was such a nice surprise. Usually with SignCraft I have a heads up about it.
Pretty excited (and surprised) that we were featured on the front cover this month! They had interviewed me a few weeks ago, and requested some art to go along with the interview, but we had no idea it would make the cover. This is the first time I think we've been featured in Signs of the...
Agreed. I used Freehand up until 2 years ago when I was forced to use Illustrator because I could no longer use Freehand on the new Mac OS. Probably 500+ brands created with that application.
Joe is one of the best in the business, hands down. He uses Corel. In my opinion, there isn't a...
What if I told you there was a book or two you could buy that could really help you understand the fundamentals on building a logo. Would you buy it?
I'm not specifically talking to you, but often, the problem is that people want to be able to understand how to do something NOW, without...
