Our laser gives us a mirror finish on the edges during the first and only cutting pass. No need for separate finishing pass etc.
But it shouldn't make much of a difference if you're already buying pre-made lettering though.
If you moved to a 5950x you'd notice a considerable difference. Onyx isn't terribly efficient with multiple cores, and as balstestrat says above you'd be better off with stronger single core speed:

Judging by the nozzle test, it looks like you're running a Roland.
In the Color Management section of VersaWorks, what preset do you have selected?
Try to select either Pre-press General or Pre-press US, which won't artificially boost colours and should reduce the ink levels and try a test...
The cleaning solution is likely the exact same thing in the "spare" channel if you don't run metallic/white. Nothing to worry about as mentioned above.
It also depends on ink load and drying times. We use a very cheap LG monomeric for labels. We cut through full bleed 320% print all the time. As long as we let it dry 24-48h before cutting, we don't get curling.
There was a sale on the Fuji Acuity LED 3200R last month for around USD$60,000 new. You really aren't going to get anything for less than that for a 3.2m machine.
Look into ThunderLaser machines. We bought the Nova 51 (100w) which is pretty much the size you're asking about:

Ours rolled out of the crate calibrated and ready to use.
It's been flawless for nearly 2 years now. Cut quality is fantastic...
Something like a Hyundai iLoad is probably going to be cheaper than a Ranger, can fit full sheets laying flat, or two pallets... plus everything is protected from the elements and you can leave your tools inside without someone wanting to break a lock off a toolbox on the back of a ute...
We've been getting emails from various suppliers saying the exact same thing, and prices are skyrocketing because of the backlog. For example:
- We ordered a new labeling finisher in June, it just arrived last week. Normally it's a 2 week delivery.
- We order fine art papers from Europe. We...
I don't think it's no tack material. I think they're printing to a cast laminate like 3M 8518, laying that over a low-energy white vinyl and putting MX laminate over the top. Not sure why they'd introduce the extra step though. Our MX graphics are printed direct to high tack them laminated with...
We used to use one for years before getting an electric trimmer/Fotoba, but these things are fine for SAV or even SAV + Lam. They're even good enough to trim canvas.
Not sure about the exact one you're looking at but there's barely anything to them, so they should all perform similarly.
Where...
This is one of the cleanest nozzle tests I've ever seen on here. Are you actually getting bad output prints?
That said, there is the tiiiiniest amount of feed calibration that might resolve the slight gap between both passes of the nozzle test. Unless you're seeing horizontal banding, I...
Our 8600 uses T(op) & B(ottom), although it was bin day yesterday so I don't have any prints to verify this with lol.
Looks like it might have changed this on the 9000 to F & B.
