  1. Need Help UV Printed Cast Vinyl Cracks and comes unstuck after 6 months

i was amazed too when I first started hearing about UV inks for vehicle wraps. Ritrama cast is good vinyl.... OP is certain to ghost on this thread but my money is on him using a hard/medium inkset for rigid applications, where a soft inkset is intended for the purpose of banners/wraps/vinyl.
  2. HP Latex 360 - Ink buildup on printheads

i conflated my experience with hp26500 and 360, but technically its all there in the maintenance station cartridge :)

  4. Looking to get aluminum signs made - Anyone have a source?

We've made walking trail signs in Michigan, unrelated to your project but relateable :) Ours were 1/8" aluminum with printed&laminated 3M whatever IJ680 was back in ...2005? Any "signs/graphics" shop in your area should be able to whip these up for you to pickup, I see an Art-FX Signs in...
  5. HP Latex 360 - Ink buildup on printheads

My guess, ink buildup would result from operational failure of, in order: maintenance station > waste ink funnel/wiper > waste ink line > waste ink container. the ink cycles through the printhead, and has to go somewhere. HP has made this process pretty user-friendly with easy to replace...
  6. letters coming up on the weed

"The overcut setting is used to tell the machine to cut a little further at the end of a shape to help guarantee closure. This is due to the fact that the blade tip is positioned at an angle and not directly in the center of the holder." overcut would correct that. The setting would be minimal...
  7. letters coming up on the weed

HUGE fan of adding an 1/8"-1/4" weed border around lettering the smaller it gets. It adds a level of satifaction to weeding, kinda like those tiktoks of peeling paint striping. adds a little time to your plot, but pays out dividends in recuts and helps easier identify your product to remain.
  8. Question why can't we "jail break" the new ul

....but right to repair could give criminals access to hack your personal information and your wife & kids will never be safe!
  9. the hook up

shouldn't have to cut with water if you're cleaning with haste & intent. the "hot" isopropyl will, however, burn polycarb & paint surface finishes if mindlessly sprayed and allowed to bead for an extended period on the surface. Spray & wipe or spray the rag & wipe, and the goooood stuff is...
  10. Bit cooling when cutting aluminum

i try to limit the amount of water i put anywhere near my steel based router system. whenever i'm too forgetful to drain the air compressors and end up putting wet air through the mister, all my chucks get a nice glaze of rust. Always game to try something new, however, as oil prices are...

  13. Question HP latex, speeding up printing time with out sacrificing quality

printer gonna print. default settings from canned profiles is still pretty fast... sounds like a problem if you're standing around waiting for an entire roll to print a fleet of vans, but for a one-off wrap I think you can find something do do for ~4hrs while your printer runs. Prep the car...
  14. vinyl repairs with laminate

pics or it never happened. ....but i can imagine what a trailer wrapped in calendared media over rivots looks like! cheap wraps are cheap wraps, but you gotta know your limitations: that stuff should be on flat surfaces only. If you intend to be stretching/forming over rivots & bridging...

  16. Circle sticker issues

never accept it as "that's just how it is". major note of concern with your sample image: the notch at the top right corner. sure your cut is slightly off-center, BUT the solution may lie within the answer to why your circle is not a complete circle cut. highly doubtful your designer...
  17. Laminator for acrylic?

seal54 is a tank. as long as there are not cuts in the rollers, chances are its worth the buy.
