  2. corel exporting as eps size problem to flexi..HELP PLEASE

Special effects like transparency, dropshadows, etc...can greatly increase file size, and sometimes do strange things when printing. My get around would be to select all of the cut lines, cut it to the clipboard, and save the print part of the file as a 150 dpi jpg. Open a new page, bring in...

  5. Optically clear laminate versus regular laminate...

Thank you..that's exactly what I needed to know. I don't do enough perf to justify having two rolls of lam, so if the gf can be used for both perf and regular prints that's what I'll go with. I also like the idea of no color shift, have had the greenish tint problem before, but thought it was...
  6. Optically clear laminate versus regular laminate...

Have been using oracal 290 gloss laminate over digital prints and about to order another roll. For a few more dollars, I can get the gf optically clear laminate. Any reason not to use the gf optically clear on everything in place of the regular 290? The specs seem to be the same except for the...

  12. Anyone seeing MAJOR delays with USPS lately?

I don't ship much from here...most customers are local. On incoming orders there is normally no problem with ups, but I usually tell customers it will be two weeks, when I'm pretty sure it will only be a week or so. Gives a little extra time before they call wanting to know where their order...

  14. 30" window perf

Thanks for the help and advise. Wasn't sure what was out there for product, with new materials always popping up. I bought a short roll of 50/50 from somewhere a few years ago, and still have a foot or two left, but not enough for this job. Not sure where it came from...probably lexjet or kapco...
  15. 30" window perf

Need to quote using perf on an interior door for one way vision purposes. Looking for a short roll of 30" material to run through the Roland sp300v. Would need to have a decent life expectancy....3/4 years if possible, just don't want a 1 year product. Don't think the customer really cares if...
  16. Staples is selling vinyl?!?

That price is for their "special effects gold film" .... the prices on their regular vinyl are much less. 36 pages of vinyl > > > http://www.staples.com/Sign-Materials/cat_CL210924 Now it will be customers showing up with a roll of vinyl they bought at staples....uhhh, no thanks.

  18. Roland VersaCamm not printing correct color

I had a similar problem a few months ago, and never did find a for sure answer. Trying to print grey was giving me a reddish brown color. The printer was working fine as long as there wasn't any grey in the artwork. I cleaned everything and the problem wouldn't go away. Had a 440 black ink in it...

  20. B!tch and Gripe Session........................................... ....

Hate it when that happens...it is a pain. Sometimes able to gang these in with another job if they aren't in a big hurry (which never seems to happen) Usually my scraps are an inch short. Not long ago, had a boat dealer wanting pin stripes for a 30' boat. Sorry, not going to burn 1 1/2" off a...
