gino thx for the idea i will see what we can do on that. boudica thx as well funning thing the truck in that pic is one of my customer's competitors.
i think i will try the easiest option first and try to redesign the graphics so they only go across the upper area of the bed. that seems to hold...
customer has a paving company that we letter the trucks, specifically the bed of the dump trucks. they get extremely hot from the asphalt so over time it burns the vinyl lettering. first time i did it with orajet 3751 and that lasted like 3 or 4 years. second go around i used orajet 3951HT,it...
they have a system set up like that in our silk screen department. there is some sort of pad they roll the roller on then they roll the material (i believe that cleans the roller) .
helps remove particles and static
we got a truvis VG540 when they first came out and it was a big lemon. we also have had roland printers for like 12-15 years before with little to know issues (at least nothing compared to this) i was ready to throw the thing in the parking lot and tell them to come pick it up. even to this day...
i have used avery MPI2126 on brick walls outdoors and it help up for over 6 months with little to no wear. granted that's a wall not the sidewalk but this with a floor lam might be a good combo. also just thinking outside the box but what about adding some silicone or a construction adhesive to...
definitely a fan of the happy horseshit Gino.
i think all of the options have some merit. perhaps give the customer 2 or 3 options. they may like one window in one option and a different window from another option. they can mix and match if they want but nice to give them a couple options
maybe stupid question but did you shut everything down and unplug it then restart everything ?
we had a storm here the other day in NJ and had an issue with our roland and the computer communicating restarted, checked verification, checked the wires so finally i shut everything down, unplugged...
i have gotten a few generic emails from them. one saying how they have upgraded their online request for quote system. on asking how likely i am to refer them.
i have used them over the past 15yrs or so and the only issue i have had is most of the time they take too long to get me a quote but...
we deal with a lot of government jobs, print brokers, event/party planners and just customers who wait till the last minute to do stuff.
first we need to make sure we can actually do the job. (have material, have people to run and install it) then we price accordingly to the situation (do we...
isn't working exit signs a fire/osha requirement that is checked and or inspected by the town regularly. we have a fire inspector that comes in our building like 2 or 3 times a year.
they check the extinguishers, smoke/carbon monoxide alarms and our exit/emergency lighting.
but... fellers used...
for whatever reason we have been busy right through the pandemic and recession up to date. we had two lulls one back in april 2020 when we were closed due to 3/4 or our employees having covid then maybe about 6 or 7 months ago. other than that our only issue has been getting materials so just...
probably about $150-200 in material so would charge around $400-450 for the sign and $150-200 for install so you are not way off but todays market is inflated due to material and fuel costs so get as much as you can get with out pissing anyone off
i would tell her to have the customers contact you. you don't just give out customer files/logos with out consent of said customer. if they did pay you an art design fee you really should give them a copy of the file. that's what we do.
if the logo they have is that bad then we will trace or...
thanks for the input.
we do have an LEJ which i assume is what you have/had and it's been fine. had it's share of issues but over all it owes us nothing. might try replacing it with one of the newer versions that also offers the cutting. we have true flatbeds so don't need the hybrid version any...
just dipping our toes in the water for new printers. have 3 rolands now and have had 6 over the years and been happy with all but the truvis VG1 (what a nightmare, long story)
anyway just looking for feed back if anyone has either of these printers
thanks
